Types of Projects We Fund

History

  • PUSH was founded in 1969 by a small group of community members when the City of Oxford annexed the area North of Sycamore St.
  • Low income property owbers in the area were required to upgrade their homes, but lacked the means to do so.
  • PUSH collected donations and offered interest free loans to help bring their homes into compliance.
  • Since 1969 PUSH has been following the original goal of helping people stay in their homes by funding projects such as installing new furnaces, hot water heaters, roofs, and plumbing fixtures.
